In the state of Georgia, 25 schools offer programs in the automotive field where prospective candidates can earn diplomas, certificates and/or degrees while taking classes in any of many specific areas of car repair. In Georgia, certifications are given through the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Students who complete coursework along with putting in some professional experience will be eligible to take exams to receive certificates in various disciplines of auto mechanic service and repair.
